3. FIXTURES for the season 2019/ 2020 – See attached sheet. Organisers are reminded that
these dates are provisional and asked that confirmation be recorded by end of August
2019.
Item for discussion – Is it still the wish that, where and when possible a BMCA trial is run
every week? General discussion with various views, conclusion that the fixture list should
be drawn up which would indicate whether there would be a weekly BMCA event.
Special Note! – There are now a couple of venues that would be available throughout the year but
no organisers to take up the opportunity to run a BMCA event.
i.e. Venues available:
Buildwas (Clive Parry may not be able to run this event due to recent surgery)
Bedlam – only 1 event scheduled.
Easthope Wood – Nigel Houlston is trying to find details of the land owner, if successful he
will try to recruit help to organise the Air Ambulance trial on behalf of Al Ussher.
Steve Jones promised to contact with the owners details.
4. Entry Fees –
AMCA Licence Holders £10.00 Late – on the day £13.00
Non Licence Holders £11.00 Late – on the day £14.00
Proposed that no increase in entry fees, although the BMCA accounts indicate a loss over
the 2018 – 2019 season of £348.
This may be due to the observers fees for 2017-2018 and 2018 – 2019 both being paid out in this
years accounts. Anyone who observes more than 8 times during any one season, is paid a small
fee each time and paid at the end of the year, total paid for the two seasons was £618.
Without the valuable help of these people the BMCA would not be what it is today.
Equipment repairs and replacements, a new printer purchased and repairs and updates to the
computer which is now over 9 years old. Additional set of bibs numbered 51 – 100.
£350.00 charity donations.
It was stated that although there had been a loss this year, the accounts balance at the BMCA was
quite healthy.
6. ANY OTHER BUSINESS.
1. Fixtures – Les Richardson has asked if Rigid machines could be promoted this year, he will
cater for them at Howards Wood.
2. BMCA Charity Trial – discussion that this would be run towards the end of the season
probably early May 2020. More details to follow.
3. Luke Stratton – difficulty in producing the BMCA event reports, is anyone willing to take
over or help? Kevin Walker and Joe Owen offered their help, special thanks to Luke for the
outstanding work of producing BMCA reports this year.
4. Luke Stratton asked that the trial at Easthope Wood would be called the Al Ussher Memorial Trial
and incorporate the Air Ambulance Charity.
There being no further business the meeting closed at 9.25 p.m.
