First count, with more to come, was over £200 stuffed into the Air Ambulance tin!!! Final total later, but thank you all for your generosity. First Class!!! The weather turned Easthope into a bit of a mud-plug... but those are the trials you will remember! I forgot to include John Davies in the list of course plotters. Nigel"adverse-camber"Houlston and his merry band have resorted to the oil-skins today - Friday - to set out the course at Eastwood for the Air Ambulance event.There is level parking, courtesy of Matt and Alf, opposite the Wenlock Edge PH. The Edge land-mass was once much further south... in a tropical sea... as evidenced by the seashell fossils all over the place!

Dad and I are extremely sad to hear of Jim's passing. Jim was instrumental in putting us in touch with Neville Clegg for the BSA and also in welcoming us to the BMCA family. When I can finally get back out on the bike I'll no doubt still be hearing his shouts of "Donovan, leave that bloody clutch alone!"

Jim will be so badly missed his experience with trials bikes and his knowhow and also as a very good rider will not be forgotten his memory will live on RIP Jim

I was extremely saddened to hear the news that Jim has passed away and my thoughts are with his family at this terribly sad time. I echo everybodies thoughts that he may be gone, but he'll never be forgotten......RIP Jim

I'm so sad to hear the news of Jim passing. But I am proud to call him a friend and to have shared some time. Gone, but not forgotten by the trials scene and all that knew Jim.

On behalf of Graham Archer, many thanks to everyone who helped out on the day and for the numerous good wishes he has received following his 'spill' on Sunday at Wommerton. He is well on the way to recovery although feeling a little stiff around the neck and shoulders.

Hi Roger, No worries, we couldn't let a fellow rider, let alone a BMCA bloke, down. It was good to meet you, pity it was under such circumstances! Well done for sticking with it and coaxing all the life you could out of the on-the-fly repair to finish the trial. Hopefully we'll meet again before long, any good trials down under? Cheers - Luke

Hi Folks My ride in the Manx Classic wasn't as good as I would have hoped for. A crash on the first morning left me with a sore arm and loosing a clutch cable and a front brake cable didn't make the ride any easier. Many thanks to the BMCA boys who helped me through Luke S, John C, Andy H and Alan H, without their timely assistance I wouldn't have been able to finish. My thanks also to Colin for the loan of his wonderful Cub and to my riding mate Ray B, for his help and support. T'was great to catch up with you guys again and have a few good photo's if anyone forwards their email address. Hope to see you all again sometime Rog G
